Dude the same ere, im 16 nearly 17. But i sleep and heck of a lot. I sleep from 10pm-11am. Then the same day i sleep from bout 1:30-5pm.Then maybe 5-6pm. So really in a day i sleep 17 hours. And even after that im still feel tired and find it hard to get up, if sometimes feel bit sick for the ammount of time on averae i sleep like 15-17 hours day sometimes, but i guess u and me just like sleep lol. Later hope i helped.

Recenly i heard on the radio somewhere that medics are now saying 6 hours sleep is better for the body than the previous recommended 8 hours.

This sounds similar to the pattern you describe, however we all know what theyare like for advising us one thing only to change their minds !

regulators, your body is obviously used to 6 hours sleep, and that's all it needs to function well. By giving it an extra two hours a night, you are making it sluggish. I say stay up later and you'll soon feel better!
I dont get much sleep at all and im never tired, my view is that you get all the sleep u need when u die.
I was told that sleep comes in 4 hour periods.  The first 4 hours is very deep sleep and the second 4 hours very light.  If you go beyond 8 hours your body is into another deep sleep phase.  It does explain why sometimes you feel really drowsy even though you've had over 8 hours sleep.  This is supposed to be a scientific fact.
How much free time do you have before work? Since you're too tired to stay up later if you'd rather start getting 6 hours again you can be like my Dad was, he'd get up like 3 hours before work (30 min drive only) and just ease into the day. You could take a brisk walk or make a proper breakfast, read the paper and just take your time. I've always found early morning to be the most quiet and beautiful parts of the day. The best part about it is no one's going to call and try to sell you stuff!
