i have tried skypeing a friends number and she was engaged ie not answering. now when i click on her number or any number for that matter, it is saying 'call already in progress, cannot start new call' yet there is no call connected, the credit isnt going down etc. dont know whats happened, any ideas whats wrong?

not sure if this will help but maybe worth a try?
when you have opened skype, put the cursor at the top where "File" "Account" etc are. Under "Call" there is an option to "hang up" but this will only help if its highlighted. hope you get it sorted soon

thanks thelewisgang but hang up isnt highlighted, any other ideas welcome. the icon for calling is still green at the bottom, cant click on the red one to end call. just dont get what ive done wrong!

sometime back I had trouble with skype but can't remember what! I uninstalled it and then installed it again so maybe that would be worth a try if nobody else comes up with an answer for you. all the best & good luck!

yes i did thanks, ive just tried it and incredibly, it works, yay! dont know what i did wrong so hope it doesnt happen again! maybe it froze.
