Look on the bright side, maybe you won't get any apart from mine which doesn't count.

Gormless - you are actually much nicer when you are not winding up the usual suspects. Enjoying the peace and quiet or strangely missing the 'gruesome twosome' as you so eloquently refer to them?

I couldn't live without my little dog, Alfie. He gives me so much joy, and I really miss him when I'm back over here.

What do you usually have with your vodka, Jan? Can't beat an Absolu with diet coke!
Hey NM, where are you when you're back over there then?
Spot on No Mercy. First choice is Diet Coke with lots of ice.
bacon.
Unfortunately hubby only bought fat coke today so am drinking it with orange juice at the moment.

Valencia, Mrs. Chappie. Only for work, tho!

I have got Alfie his Rabies test and so in six months or so, if the second test matches up with the first, I can bring him back here, as I will eventually be going out there less and less. Not much work around, and all that.
Question Author
Urgh - I hate fat coke as it just tastes too syrupy.

I have reacquired a taste for Gin and slim lately, tho. However, I tend only to drink on w/ends now as I'm not good in the mornings if I've had a stiff one the night before.
Do you do a specialist job, NM?
Can't do gin but just prefer diet drinks. I've been very good recently, trying to cut down on the vodka but not happy today. After 14 months with leg in plaster was hoping it was going to come off today but they told me another 4 weeks at least. It is easier when you know you haven't got to get up in the morning.

I'm a hostage negotiator for the United Nations!

Joking, I'm an interior designer. But with the current climate and the fact that the housing market in Spain has reached saturation point, there is less and less work out there. People just cannot afford to do major things with their existing properties. It's a shame, cos I love the job and the furnishings are so much finer out there. A lot of stuff is handcrafted and quite ethnic, and they are really into the whole cowhide thing which I love!
Question Author
Aww Jan - what is wrong with your leg?
NM, that sounds like an interesting job. Are you doing the same job in the UK?
The short version is broke it Aug 2006 and have since had 5 ops. The last one was in Oct last year during which they put in a lot more metal work. Been a nightmare for two and a half years. That's why the vodka helps at times.

Good job I have a sense of humour!!
Jan, how did you break your leg?
