Annonymously post him some pink ribbons ;)
He might WANT to grow his hair long.
It's his decision.
I have the opposite with my 19 year old son - he keeps having his hair cut short - as soon as it looks a really nice length - his off to the hairdresser for yet another cut.

Sorry, I can't really offer a solution - teenagers are a whole different species !!!!
The first answer was probably a joke. but don't tease him, keep his confidence intact.
As the parent of 2 teenagers I find that offering them a cash sum usually does the trick
Just leave him to it. He'll eventually decide he doesn't like it and get it cut of his own accord, probably when his mates begin to take the mick.
I like a bit of self-expression!

my 12 year old son is growing his hair and bless him, he has my curls! it doesn't look great right now but either it will get past this awful stage or his mates will give him a hard time and he'll get it cut, like saxy says.
Leave him alone. When he wants to have his hair cut it will happen, their are many more things to be worked up over than the length of his hair
agree with richard what a waste of time!!!
Tell him you really like it the way it is... ;)
Your boy is 15. Let him make up his own mind, just because you don't like it why should you dictate.

Remember what it was like when you were a kid?

If you make him have it cut he will resent it and who knows where that will lead.
