Migraines??

How long do they last? I no there's 100s of different types.. But I started with one yesterday an still got it today can that be right? It definatly feels like a migrain ... :)

P.s can migraines give u tummy ache?? Hope that doesant make me sound thick..

Yes you can have "tummy aches " with migraine and they can last from one day to 5days.........without treatment of course.

Yes there are many different types and you ask how long do they last for? You mean how long does it keep for,im not too sure here read this

the change in weather can also bring on a migraine it was on the bbc news website last week

I get cluster migraine from time to time, & I treat it with Imigran which you can buy from a chemist (very expensive) or get on prescription.

Oh yes 2 or 3 days and throw up with mine which makes taking pills very tricky. Have had to resort to injections from doctor . Had one last week so should be clear for a while. Wish I knew what triggered them. Couln't be anything to do with the red wine and chocolate cake and cheese and orange juice I had ; could it ? ( joke )

Cos it is easier than waiting to see doctor and sitting around with sick people ( you can catch things in doctors' surgeries you know.) I know you did not ask my opinion but thats why I buy them over the counter.

naomi.....thanks, but is there not a service called "repeat prescriptions" where you can phone the surgery and pick up the prescription without waiting?

Yes we can have repeat prescriptions but I am not that organised.! My OH is on thyroxine and he even managed to run out of that this week, had to talk very nicely to get emergency script.
