my choletstrol is 6.1 the dr says this is high. i have managed to reduce it from 7.4 within 3 months and i would like to continue to reduce it through diet. any medical folks out there that could give me some advice, i'm due to go back to dr next week. what is classed as normal cholestrol, mine used to be 4.6.
Simvastatin is very effective but beware its side effects. One is Paraesthesiae, ( numbness/tingling in fingers and sometimes toes) I suffer from carple tunnel syndrome and the 'sim' made it ten times worse. Don't worry though there are alternatives available.
