Small Sac with 7 week baby,,

My daughter is 7 weeks pregnant , this is her 5th child. She misscarried at 12 weeks between her third and fourth baby.
Last week she went for her early ultrascan , because she has misscarried before they are keeping an eye on her. She has been having spotting. Anyway the baby has a good heartbeat and everything looked fine. Went back again today for another one and they have said the baby is growing and still has strong heartbeat but the sac is smaller than it should be. The doctor said she was "concerned" about it . And said it could go either way.
The next scan is in 10 days.
Has anyone else had this problem and could share with me. Either way. Many thanks

I hope all is still well with your daughter. Perhaps the Doctor meant that she is earlier into the pregnancy than first thought.. I hope the wee soul and your daughter are thriving. I do wish that Doctors would explain themselves more rather than scaring the crap out of us and leaving our imaginations to run wild.

Hi Clydeserani, thankyou so much for your message. Iam so sorry about your miscarriage which i was just reading. No news yet my daughter has to go to hospital on monday for another scan. we are just keeping our fingers crossed.things are still the same. will post on here then. No they said baby was7 weeks but sac around it was smaller than it should have been. The time when she miscarried before she was just over 12 weeks and they found the baby had died at 8 weeks.xx
