Help with shower purchasing and fitting.
My shower died this a.m. It is a pretty old Triton Aqua Sensation. I dont know what to replace it with and am confused as to what type of shower I am looking for. I have a combi boiler and assume that the shower is hot water fed as it doesnt get hot when the household hot water is not on!? I see mixer, digital, electric, thermostatic controlled showers and dont know where to start. Can someone please help?

Athermostatic is best, as it controls the temp automatically and saves a lot of fiddling.
Be sure to get one for a combi boiler rather than one designed to take the hot feed from an immersion cylinder.
Try these ........

I am somewhat confused !!! you say you have a combi boiler and yet also state that the shower only gets hot when the household hot water is on ??? It does sound as Tezestwing suggests you have a power shower, But you can not fit these on to a combi boiler set up. Do you have a hot water cylinder in an airing cupboard somwhere ? If so it is not a Combi boiler and you should replace it with a Power Shower. But if it is a Combi Boiler then you should replace it with either an electric shower which will opperate indipendant of you're boiler or install a thermostatic mixer shower that states it is compatable with Combi Boilers. Hope this Helps ( now i am confused ) lol....
