I suffer from depression and anxiety,I dont take antidepressants at all, instead when I have a mood swing I try and get myself out of sitting doing nothing and do something,or play different music, but I have noticed 2 days before a full moon I get very edgy and snappy and cant be bothered with anything, and night of the full moon I am just not interested and cant make clear decisions about anything and still very much on edge.I dont understand the moon etc,but I have taken note of when the moods are worse without being aware of the moon until after

Hi dolphinkate.  Are you perchance a Cancerian?  Cancerian people tend to suffer with this as they are more affected by the moon.  (that's if you're into horoscopes at all like me!??)

Hi

I'm sure I have read somewhere that there is a connection with the moon and illness.  something to do with the gravitational pull of the moon being stronger around the time of the full moon and affecting some people.  It is where the term 'lunatic' comes from (Lunar meaning the moon).

Oh yes, I'm the same & several of my friends & family are a bit 'lunar' as we call it!  I have noticed that anxiety is often worse at the full moon & depression at the new moon. I could hit somebody (well I wouldn't do it really, but you know what I mean) at the moment I'm so wound up. There's just been a lunar eclipse too so heaven knows how that's going to affect us sensitive types!
The lunar cycle and the average menstrual cycle are about the same length. Could it be PMT?
Oh yes, I definitely agree. My partner is a Cancerian and gets very "crabby" around differnt phases of the moon. The moon has a very strong influence on all of us as well as the sea etc.
You're a werewolf!
Astrology IS complete clap trap and will have no effect on your health, or for that matter your life, whatsoever
Moog, I have to disagree. My ex boss (male) used to become so depressed and uptight at each full moon that his wife and kids would stay with relatives until he felt better. He was diagnosed as a proper "Lunatic" not a nutter but as the other post says, its to do with the "Lunar" cycle. And NO he was'nt a werewolf,he was a loving family man.
Having worked in residential care homes for older people with dementia for many many years, I have to say that around a full moon people tend to get more agitated and unsettled.  I worked this out retrospectively and was as surprised as Moog might be!
Definitely affects me too, but mine is usually the night after I get really energised and end up going on a bender.  I've worked it out retrospectively too.
Id like to thankyou dolphinkake for printing your question,I realy wanted to ask the same thing but was worried everyone would think i was mad,Me and my mum suffer too especially this week we both wounderd if it was because of the full moon but we werent totally convinced now having read all the replys i no it has been cos of the full moon thankyou all and now i no were not completely mad.
