Hi, one of my cats was poorly on friday, sickness, off her food, generally under the weather. shes fine now, it lasted 24/48 hrs.
On sunday i started to feel ill, and have had a nasty tummy bug ever since. Just managed to keep down some porridge, so must be on the mend....
Now my other cat has been sick.
Is there a bug that can be past between humans and cats? hubby is just waiting for his turn now!

I think that if you get poorly then theres a chance you can pass it onto pets but I'm not so sure about pets giving their illness to us. Tho I guess if you get up close to your pet (face to face and they lick you) then if couls be a possibilty.

Not sure that is much help.

Sorry :(
You certainly can get many illnesses from your cat:
toxoplasmosis
toxocariasis
hookworms
tapeworms
roundworms
cryptospordium
salmonella

If your cat has been sick and you have cleaned up the mess, it is entirely possible you have caught the same thing.
barry is quite correct but unlikely.

You symptoms and your cats were within 48hrs incubation period and none of the above diseases have that short an incubation period except salmonella.

Possible but highly unlikely.
