Hello there,

Could anyone please tell me if an adult who is immune to chicken pox (had chicken pox in childhood) can come into contact with a child with chicken pox and then pass it on to another child? Hope it makes sense?? :-)

No, it simply can't happen. Phone NHS Direct to put your mind at rest.
Yes, they can.
i thought they could? they just carry the bug but dont get infected.
Ive got my littlest one with CP at moment and have avoided taking her to see my mum (whos had it) because my mum is visiting my nan in a care home tomorrow.
People an also get it twice Barry.
I had it as a child (some scars ro prove it!) and again when i was 35 years old..
I thought i was immune so did not avoid my friends kids when they had it. It was a lot worse when you are older! People say can turn to shingles - although it is similar I think its a bit of an old wives tale! but I would recommend to avoid as much as poss. - The problem being spots only occur when well into the incubation stage so you will never know! (But I still would go round refriending their spot!).. As far as 3rd party passing - the germs are airborne so cannot see why they could pop on you for a ride and take off again. There must be a confirmed medical explaination to my theories, If not I'll copyright this one.
Stay well.
