How would you feel if you new at some point during your working day you could be secretly filmed by a mystery shopper?  Does anyone know if your employer has the right to do this?

I would absolutely hate it! That's awful - can they really do that? I have no idea. Hope not.
Your employer can do it, as long as they tell you in advance that they intend to. It's the same as CCTV cameras, the premises that they are on must by law show a sign telling patrons that they are in use.
yeah, they have to tell you. i never heard of mystery shoppers filming people, they are just supposed to observe and report, unless they're getting lazy.
WOW emmalee if this is connected to ur other post ...i would have to say that u are being set up for something.....take care...... !

Bluedolphin, this is definately a company thing, it has been announced in a newsletter and we are to be shown an example soon.
If you are working in a shop, you would expect that CCTV is constantly in operation...watching every move...

Depends. The shopper might be a dirty old man and use it for other purposes!!!
