I have found a lump

I am lying in bed and got an itch on the left handside of my rib-cage and I have felt a lump. Its around the size of a golfball and not painful but its there. I will make an appointment with my doc tomorrow but I dont want to waste his time. Anyone got any ideas what this can be? I know it seems a stupid question and no doubt the "others" wil come on and do their worst, but I'm having a slight panic!

Hi everyone. I have had the ultrasound and went back to my GP today (soonest appointment I could get with him Grrr!) andit is most definately a lipoma. Squad, I sincerely apologise....I clearly AM stupid and I DID mis-hear! LOL Anyway, it has grown since I had the scan and I really want it removed because its bothering me so he has booked me an appointment with a plastic surgeon to have it removed. That way there will be no scar. I should get an appointment within a couple of weeks.
I just wanted to thank you all for your replies and sorry for being a drama queen about it all!!
