I'm with your boyf, I'm afraid! I reckon they look cool, but aren't they the type of purchase that you buy in fits of excitement but never wear? I've got some massive cowboy boots that fit this bill...

Unfortunately I agree with your bf too! I bought some of these boots (but they were bright pink) and have since had the good sense to bury them at the back of the wardrobe...

nicola_red - GO FOR IT. forget what everyone else has said. i think they're great!! they're not completely impractical at all - when they get dirty just give them a shampoo! If you like them and can afford it then you should get them. I have a few items of clothing my bf absolutely hates but i still wear them cos i love them. get them, get them, get them! you know you want to! x

Thanks all! And LOL at Donkey. I have surveyed my work colleagues as well and the verdict seems to be 'no'...so I guess I'm not buying them! I have plenty of other clothes you'd probably consider horrible as well, undercovers! I'll start fixating on some other item in a few weeks and this particular desire will pass, they always do.

I think nochola_red had every right to post her question to be honest and she has very politely thanked her answerers for their opinion and apparently used the general concensus to make her decision.

Is that not what AB is for ?.
