The gall-bladder is a reservoir for the bile. When it is removed the bile just goes from where is is formed to where it is needed without being stored..........
Hi
Had my gall bladder removed in the nineties and am surviving very well. Was assured I would but couldn't reason how at the time. Do find life a little better if I stick to a low fat diet though - if not get a bit of an upset stomach, but nothing to worry about really.
Had my gall bladder removed in 70's and have been fine ever since. Glad to say that I can eat anything now. If you have been advised to have the operation go ahead you wont regret it!
