i dyed my hair and my roots are lighter then the rest of my hair. How soon can i re-dye my hair a different color?

You shouldn't dye your hair anymore than every 3 months really, but why not just get the roots done?

you need to have a root tint done at the hairdressers.they can either tone done the ends or try to lighten the root up if poss. you can have your regrowth dyed when ever you want, it's new hair and as long as you don't keep over lapping the colour on the ends it will be fine.
