Homemade biscuits for dogs with liver disease

my springer spaniel has liver disease, and i would like to make healthy treats for him - any ideas?

I googled in a combination of Liver disease/dogs/diet and came up with a few sites - some of them were obvious promotional sites but if you google the specific problem your dog has there may be lots of of suggestions. good luck
