The specialist is very pleased with husband's progress, and doesn't want to see him again for 6 months. His blood sample reading was 1.3. So 2 more years of 6 month check ups, and then it changes to once a year. He is presently in remission, and if all goes well, the specialist says he could be looking at pronouncing a complete cure in about a further 5 years.
