I am a 60 year old man with that embarrassing problem, erectile dysfunction.

I haven't been able to obtain and maintain a spontaneous erection for 12 years. My new wife (and I) is particularly frustrated. (Apparently she used to have sex twice a day with her previous husband - how I wish!)

My GP is good. She examined me and tried Viagra medium and then high dose and Levitra which were hopeless. I might as well have been taking paracetamol.

She then sent me to a specialist who was absolutely hopeless. He didn't examine me, told me less than my GP had and just said to try Cialis.

I haven't tried Cialis: I have no faith they will be any better than what I've already tried, and even if they did work, I cannot afford 10 a tablet every time we want sex.

I wonder whether I'm low on testosterone ( the andropause) and whether there's treatment possible for that (HRT for men)?
Or do you think hynotherapy may be an answer?

I'm getting desperate as it's ruining my marriage.
I know we could be having other sexual fun but my wife says no as it makes her even more frustrated if it can't end in penetrative intercourse.

Testosterone? Forget it.

Google CAVERJECT and ask your Dr if you could try it. It looks daunting, but it is easy to get used to and is effective.
if you can't afford 10 pound per tablet, how do you expect to afford hypnotherapy? it costs at least 40 quid persession, which for the hard of adding up is four times what it would cost for your other "session"

Thanks for answers.

Sqad. I may try caverject but sounds painful?

bednobs. I don't know how many hypnotherapy sessions I'd need but wouldn't need one each time I wanted sex would I?
no, but say you needed six sessions - that would be 240 quid you could have sex 24 times for that!
no- can- do....it is not painful, as the injection needle is so small.
Give it a go..............can-do !!

Thanks, Will do, sqad.

Thanks bednobs. So 4 sessions of hypno may keep my wife happy for a fortnight. Would it last longer?

And sqad. Are tyhe injections free on NHS?
..you can do it too, with can-do.

I have no personal experience, but 'professional' knowledge tells me that sqad is quite right - try the Caverject.
no-can-do....yes...a sympathetic GP should prescribe on the NHS.

salla.......I don't need them LOL
A GP might send you to an Andrology centre too if they think that would help.
