I am a 60 year old man with that embarrassing problem, erectile dysfunction.
I haven't been able to obtain and maintain a spontaneous erection for 12 years. My new wife (and I) is particularly frustrated. (Apparently she used to have sex twice a day with her previous husband - how I wish!)
My GP is good. She examined me and tried Viagra medium and then high dose and Levitra which were hopeless. I might as well have been taking paracetamol.
She then sent me to a specialist who was absolutely hopeless. He didn't examine me, told me less than my GP had and just said to try Cialis.
I haven't tried Cialis: I have no faith they will be any better than what I've already tried, and even if they did work, I cannot afford 10 a tablet every time we want sex.
I wonder whether I'm low on testosterone ( the andropause) and whether there's treatment possible for that (HRT for men)?
Or do you think hynotherapy may be an answer?
I'm getting desperate as it's ruining my marriage.
I know we could be having other sexual fun but my wife says no as it makes her even more frustrated if it can't end in penetrative intercourse.
