Pasta's thread about fake bits - has/does anyone wear a wig? I don't mean if anyone's had an illness which resulted in hair loss and the wearing of one perhaps, but just to change or enhance what they've already got?
I once had hair extensions in after I'd chopped my long hair off. They lasted for ages, but then my own hair got tangled up in knots where the hair'd been plaited in - so had to be cut out again!

Hi Ice....had a few wigs in the 1970's 'cos it was fashionable then.....head was terribly hot though...not attractive with sweat ruining your make-up....
Why did you put in extensions, Ice? You cut your hair to have short hair?
I had braided hair extensions when i was 18/19 down to my waist they were great fun :D
Ice maiden letface it your old, ugly fat, single and well past your sell by date.....you might as well go on the game, though i dont know whether anyone would even pay you a pound for your fishy surprise! LOL!

Did you like wearing them though craft? I mean, were they for special occasions, or for every-day use?
It wasn't as simple as that MWB - me and a friend got blind drunk one day and walked into a barber's! We demanded a No. 1 - literally, almost, to the skin. It looked and felt great until the effects of the drink'd worn off, and then......
Well after a few months, it was long enough to have the extensions put in, because although my hair grows quickly, I couldn't wait until it was as long as it HAD been, but by the time they were ready to come out, the ones at the back were all mangled up in a knot!!!
Lol, Ice.

At least you didn't get a tattoo.
i wear a wig sometimes

Evening all
Real hair wigs and extensions make my skin crawl, somehow. I have a real aversion to the thought of having somebody else's hair on my head.

I'd probably feel differently if I needed a wig, though.

I've worn fun wigs at parties in the past - a cleopatra bob and that sort of thing. Not real hair though
OOPS not maiden,craft!
i sometimes wear a purple curly wig

well the ladies love role play

lmao
I used to wear them on nights out Ice.....I had 3...blonde, black, and redhead....just made a great change....the different make-up was quite expensive though (but not as much as the tattoo MWB)
sorry crazy were you talking to me?
Question Author
Nope - no tattoo or any fake bits on me.
Oh dear... poor Crazy was getting us mixed up here. No Crazy, I'm not fat, not ugly, not single - but i might get acrylic nails at some time, because my own keep breaking off with all teh work I have to do, so I once in a while, I'd like some nice long talons to paint!
Had to laugh at the thought of the makeup running, craft - but not to worry. Bet Alice Cooper pays a fortune to have his go like that - so you got it for free! x
hi Ethel - I bet the Cleo wig was quite nice actually!
Hi pink. :)

Yeah, an "I Luv Colin" tattoo can be expensive.
Question Author
Hi pink - love the hair!
Yes ravenmiss, mine were waist-length extensions as well, but my own hair's now back to almost that level, so I don't need to have them put in again.
Craft - you could be a different girl each night then!!! Way to go!!
Leggy - purple? Were you a punk?
MWB - I bet tattoos hurt!!!! : (
thats why most tightwad women get a i luv ben tattoo

lmfao

lol
i would love some wigs , not really to wear outside as id be too self conscious but just to wear about the house for fun. i hate the long ratty look of extentions on young lassies ikkk.
