My Hamster Has a Cut On Her Thigh

At first I thought that Jasmin was bleeding from her vagina, but she has cleaned off all of the blood and I've discovered a small cut on her thigh. The reason she was bleeding in her ball was because when she runs around the cut opens up and starts to bleed. I was wondering if there is anything I can put on the cut to help it heal? Any kind of medicine that isn't poisonous for her and won't kill her incase she gets frisky and licks it off. Any suggestions? Please help.

Why don't you take the ball out of her cage for a while to stop her running around much.  Keep an eye on the wound.  You could bathe it with cotton wool dipped in salty cooled boiled water.  That will help to keep in germ free.  If the cut still keeps opening and bleeding you should take Jasmine to the vet.  Perhaps she will need a little stitch.

At least you know now that she hasn't got a serious  illness.

Good idea FP! Glad to know the jasmin isn't as bad as you first thought. Keep an eye on her and if it doesn't improve take her to the vet. Also check round her cage to make sure there are no sharp edges.... she may have caught herself on something inside the cage.!
