How to dress up a beige dress suit?
13 Answers
Not sure if this is the right site but I will ask anyway. I am going to a wedding at the end of the month. I think I am going to wear a beige dress suit but it just looks so drab.! I am looking for ideas how I can "dress it up" a bit. it is just a shift dress, sleeveless with a jacket, one toggle and stand up collar. I have beige shoes to match. What can I add to it to make it look better.? I know a lot of you on here have some very good answers. Many thanks

Maybe go for everything else black to offset the beige?
Maybe black chunkier jewellery like beads.
You could also put the flower in your hair ir a pretty clip or similar to add some more colour and even wear patterned tights if they go.

I would say Navy goes well with beige - I was going to say a nice chunky necklace, but you said the jacket has a stand up collar. You could go with the necklace and leave the jacket undone - or leave the jacket off entirely.
I would say necklace, matching earrings and if you are a hat person then accessorise with that.
If you leave the jacket off - then buy one of those shawl type scarves and drape it over one shoulder and fasten with a brooch.
Good luck

Beige? Oh dear, well never mind, any colour goes with beige but to avoid looking more mature than your years avoid navy and brown.
Try strong summer coordinating shades but don't go for too much frill, just basics with simple lines as it does sound like a little 60s ensemble which would be fine with black patent court shoes and matching black patent clutch bag, but that would not be very bright for a wedding unless you added a bright pink large brimmed hat with a black ribbon around the crown.
