Or should that be I am waiting for the world to fall out of my bottom. Taken first dose of meds before barium enema due tomorrow....the instructions say do not go far from a toilet. Oh what joy!!

Thanks Danni thats the info I was looking for. I have a dance class at 3.30pm .....or..... perhaps not. Was told by friend to follow the starvation diet yesterday as well so the whole thing might not be too traumatic.

Normally, when you need to evacuate your bowels, you can hang on and choose when to go, because your faeces are relatively solid, so your sphincter can grip and hold them.

The medication you have taken will liquify everything in your gut and bowels, so when it is ready to avacuate, you will have little if any control, hence the need to be near a loo.

When you get the feeling you need to go, don't hang about - your system won't wait for you!

I have been told that the days of the big pink brick are gone . These days its a thin coating of gunk . It's not been too bad so far but just taken 2nd dose. I am really hungry but only jelly and clear soup tonight. By the way I got to dance class and was fine.
