white blotches

my son of 32 has white bloches on his chest since he got a tan whilst on holiday, no white blotches till he got the tan,can anyone tell me what this is please. thanking you

Could they be acne scars?
I have a similar problem when I tan and I had quite bad acne on my face,chest and back during my teenage years.

Sounds like vitaligo, my daughter gets it all over her arms and hands and it shows up particularly when she has a tan.

If your son had chickenpox as a child dinkydoo,they will only show up when you he gets a tan,when I get my legs tanned theyr'e full of little white scars as I say because I had chicken pox as a kid.
