it's been asked before if dating websites are worth using. I can vouch that they don't. My profile is up on at least four of them for two months and i've had no luck. I'll have to make something up about myself to make me seem more interesting.

Do you actually contact anyone, but get little interest or do you just wait for people to contact you? Are you male or female?

i'm male. I 'wink' 'flirt' and email them to start interest but never evolves into anything else! :( i'm thinking nothing beats meeting someone in the flesh
Trouble with Dating Sites, too much choice lots of serial daters, who just get off on meeting new people. It can be like one big online knocking shop.

I would agree, better to meet people in flesh. Maybe try joining a club, evening class or dance classes like Ceroc, always lots of women there seeking dance partners.
Two of my Uncles both found their girlfriends online :o)
One of whom got married last weekend, suppose it can work, but I would guess some of it probably comes down to luck. Like V'tee says there is lots of choice, just got to hope you find the right one or the right one finds you.
is there a photo and are you a minger?
if so use a photo stolen from the web ............good luck.
lots of durty women out there .

ps

that reminds me have you tried Chatterbank ?
full of durty women is Chatterbank.
Hi there. I am female and met my long term partner of over 7 years on the net. We used midsummer nights or something like that. Odd thing is that he lived not far from me and we used to use the same Sainsburys. We could have passed each other in there, even fancied each other but nothing would have happened without the internet.

I would suggested to have some banter for a little while before meeting. If you are bright you can pick up any warning signs and certainly on a first meet. Again I suggest a drink - dont go for dinner - that way you can do a runner should you need to.

Prior to that I had tried loads of stuff - sailing, scuba diving, voluntary work - it really is down to luck and somehow you feel more in control of your destiny and trust me I am no control freak.

Please don't give up. Good luck to you and also have fun meeting people even - you might even meet a new mate.
