I guess i am posting here so i dont get some idiot from chatterbank posting, but it is to do with body and soul because people are getting hurt, not badly bumps bruises n cuts etc.
I work in a former orphanage, now a homeless sheter, which is going through some changes. The maintenance team are converting a room into a bathroom, but some freaky s@&t is happening in there and now staff are refusing to go in there alone. Bits of wood (stuff normally found in the maintenace yard bins) is falling from no where and measurements taken as right are turning out wrong. A vicar who does room blessings for us refussed point blank to stay in the room last night , she walked out saying 'this is to big for me!' which is saying something 'cos shes handled alot of bad ass spooks in her time.
I am wondering is there any thing we can do in the interim to prevent these spooks from leaving the room and entering other parts of the hostel?? I am worriead they could hurt someone, and we have alot of vunerable people living there.
We have kindly souls living there, of the dead variety along with dead children who KEEP moving the keys and small objects around. Some we have caught on CCTV, others we have heard weeping laughing and walking....
Any advice greatly appreciated.

If you have genuine CCTV footage, get in touch with these people. They would probably be very interested.

We lost alot of data recently, we had a direct hit from lightning which fried some of the systems, but it might be on back up somewhere. I di dsuggest setting up a trigger object experimen, but got poo pooed!
How interesting, please keep us updated. I've never experienced Paranormal activity and find it intriguing. I know what you mean about the Idiots in Chatterbank too!

i cant wait to go up on my own on monday! my supervisor wants to come with me but i said i will take a radio and dictaphone in case there is any EVP.
If you are anywhere near to me, staffordshire, I would be happy to meet your spirit, (they do not like to be referred to as ghosts) if I am able to help I will do, I may be able to help from here, do you have any idea who the spirit may be, he or she will be a previous occupant of the premises without any shadow of doubt.
i'll make one , i love ghosts me.

the building was an orphanage for 80 years then its been a YMCA since the mid 50's .
The building was segregated into 2 sides so im guessing the sides it is on is a girl, but not sure becasue it is so menevelant so may be a former homeless person or somebody from the time before all of us??
S@&T! could be something to do with the civil war, we are on the very very out skirts of the old city, so who knows!
Am the idiot from CB & every other subject! For what it's worth I have ghosts in my ancient house......I have allocated them a special room to leave me alone. They honour that and have refrained from banging the front door at 5am, knicking my tools, switching over tv & moving documents.

Tell you ghosts you respect their space and give them likewise.....it's acknowledgment they want.
Question Author
we give them acknowledgment, they are given respect and space, and if they are very active then we avoid going in the room to give them space.
its just the shadows on the walls and the voices in reception when i am alone!
Dont employ Irish workmen, they're particularly picked on by ghosts because of their beliefs.
If they're roaming & being a nuisance remind them you have respected their space - they'll soon leave you alone!

Mine is my guard - the best ever!
Hi Firewatch.

I'm not only an idiot from chatterbank but also Irish...therefore I am twice blessed.....yes....

Get yourself a decent medium to sort out 'the good, the bad and the downright ugly.....they will probably be able to lay them to rest.

My best wishes to you despite your rather skewed view of CB posters. XX
Did this stuff only start happening when you began ripping the room apart? Or was stuff happening before that? If it was quiet before it is logical to assume that you have disturbed whatever it is and it is angry. It must be seriously nasty if the vicar is refusing to tackle it. Have you got a spritualist church in the vicinity? If so they would be able to offer advice and maybe put you in touch with someone who could help.
dont mean to offend Razzle09 - when irish workmen worked here renovating a derelict property, they ran out on the job claiming the place was haunted. None of them smoked but the floor (being cemented) was littered with spent matches that they said was being flicked at them.

as if?
