I put this in A&N but I would like to put this in CB as well if I may.

Since last night I have noticed that Tigger has got really smelly breath. Its never smelt like this before. She seems fine in herself and is still quite chirpy but I am worried about this smell. I've checked her canine teeth and they don't seem to have any visible plaque on them but she won't let me look in her mouth to see if anything is stuck in there.

As I said she seems fine at the moment so I'm going to take her to the vets on Monday. Has anyone else had any experience with exceptionally smelly breath? What was the cause?

could be her teeth tiggs

It is very probable Bobbi. The vet manages to open her moyth with great ease. Every time I try to do it I get scratched so I think I'll leave it up to the vet.
I know my little yorkie had that problem and thats what it was
Hallo Tiggerblue10:

I had this problem with one cat. His breath was foul and if he drooled it would leave a terrible smell. I took him to the vet, and it was a build-up of tartar and he needed his teeth scaled (under anaesthetic). I have never managed to clean cats' teeth, but they do seem to suffer plaque build-up the same as humans.

Thank you for your help. Well I'll soon find out what it is on Monday. It just seems to have come on all of a sudden. It was not like this before last night so I thought she might have had something stuck in her mouth.
I'm no expert.

But could it be to do with licking her own arse and genitalia?

If she was human , and very supple , I'm sure her breath would smell also.

YES I KNOW I SHOULDVE BEEN A VET LOL : O)

She has been doing that since she was a kitten Leg. Her breath has never smelt like this before.
Has he had a curry?

Could be ring of fire?

Or maybe a kebab?

So let me get this straight, Tigger, in her infinite wisdom decided to go for a curry the night before in order to poop through the eye of a needle, lick her bits then breath foulness all over me!
he cracks me up tiggs, I love the bloke...lol
That sounds as feasible as saying

tigger ate some whiskas from her bowl went out thru an open window wandered in the garden
killed a bird , chewed on it , then shat in the garden and returned thru said open window to then lick her arrris and bits and then snuggle up next to you and breathe dead bird and cat sh1t on you

well

doesn't it ?
Question Author
If that is the case then she would have been having smelly breath all along.
Have you checked in the bathroom ?

I keep that away from her in case she decides to go for a drive and is over the limit.

Lol Petal.

I don't know what it is. I'm sure I'll find out on Monday. I give both Tigger and Blue a mixture of soft pouch food and crunchy stuff. Usually the expensive stuff as well as they don't touch Wiskas. They are very fussy.
