I saw a girl with a stunning necklace on - a huge aqua coloured stone set in a chunky twisted silver pendant. I've looked in a local contemporary jewellers that sells minerals and I've looked on the net but I can't find one. Do you know where I could locate one? Or what stone it is?  It has a rustic, hippy feel to it rather than a polished piece of fine jewellery. I suppose its the sort of thing you'd find in craft jewellers near caves?

Thanks!!

Darling the category's called Body and Soul for a reason.

(P.S. Think your right; likely to be topaz. A few towns have those cute little new-age-y shops about. If your local area has one, i would look there).

Aqua? As in blue? What about turquoise - I have seen wonderful chunky silver & turquoise jewellery made by American Indians. The stone is opaque and usually uncut.

Didn't know where to put a 'shopping' question so, seeing as jewellery is worn on the body, thought this may be the right place to put it! also having been an AB user for a number of years. the majority of questions about hair straighteners, shoes, etc. end up in here!!

Will search for new age jewellery - stone wasn't turquoise or opage, more translucent than that - like glass.
