I'm left handed. apparently we hit the menopause before the right handed ones - I'd like to see this in this survey.....
I'm 47 and just hit the menopause!!!
Thanks poppy. After I posted it I did think to myself 'After all, being left handed is a bigger deal tha right handed. So maybe more lefties will respond which could fudge the figures'
However, I'm not phased by this and will carry on regardless. These statistics will found the basis of the future of mankind.
Oh, and I've awarded you 3 stars for being 'speshul'. Please dont't get offended my left-handed compatriates. We will one day rule the world (unless there are tin cans to open)
Booldawg, I see you have committed yourself to continuing this research regardless. In that case may I give the number of right handed people I know to try to aid your findings- 372.
Buenchico - Hi Chris! I note that left handedness is very prevalent in your family. Not so in mine as far as I know 3 generations back have been right handed in my family.
I am left handed, but can use my right hand for lots of things because my teacher in Primary school thought it would be a good idea to "knock it out" of me, so rapped me over the knuckles every time I used my left hand. Now I can use both hands to flip off the old witch as I drive past her standing at the bus stop.
I'm left handed, and so is my OH - and I don't know how true it is, but if you (as a LH) have a stroke, you will probably not lose your speech and be able to carry on talking! (I'm prepared to be corrected on that!)
