AB Newsletter-Miss England
5 Answers
In the latest AB Newsletter there is a bit about the recent Miss England contest. It ends with
"Each of the 15 finalists went through as winners of different categories, Miss Smale as the winner of the public vote category. At 1 a call the public are finding it an expensive way of being told their opinion doesn't matter!"
It then goes on to post a link to thread about the contest.
On the Miss England site it states
"All votes costs 60p plus standard network charge
Please note: Winning the public vote does not mean a contestant will win the competition."
(On another part of the site it does state however, "Each vote will cost 1.00 which includes a 15p donation to the Miss England 3 chosen charities")
"The public vote also counts as one judge on the final panel of 6 judges."
Whoever wrote the bit in the AB Newsletter should check his or her facts as voters WERE informed about the voting rules and the result WAS taken into account
