how much responsibility/dependability lies/befalls on others/bystanders

in how we communicate/interact? obviously everyone thinks for themselves, how does environmental/non verbal conversation/communication influence another if indeed it does?

Society as a whole is based on a set of values, morals and codes which affect communication and behaviour in general. The majority affect eg social conscience, don't litter (or other anti-social behaviour) because it will be frowned upon.
Media effect too.
You could consider smoking, breastfeeding in general and in public.
Religious effect eg blasphemy.
Gang effect/pack mentality.
Class effect - judged on how people speak.
Anti-discrimation has an effect.
Non-verbal, could consider body language.
Could dress be considered eg hoodies, skinheads, religious dress.
