Hiya...want to ask you a question but have limited details.
My friends daughter aged 3 has been suffering servere headaches for the last 6 months. She been for scans and today a doctor phoned her mother (not the initial doctor as she's on holiday) he said she has 'chiari deformailty type 1' or it could be 'chiari malformation type 1'...she wasn't sure.
Anyway...he told her not to google it and that he'd phoned Oxford and said she needs to go for scans on her spine.
Any idea....we have a very worried mother???
Cheers :-)

MRI scans of the base of the skull will determine severity.
I understand the worry that surrounds all involved, but it is likely to be not as bad as thought. In simple English, NBD until proved otherwise.
