Yes.

But remember to inform information the Dr. that Lansoprazole isn't working.
Dage who diagnosed an ulcer? Did you have an Endoscope,a camera intserted down your throat and into the osophagous (sp)? If not you might have acid reflux. I take the same as you and if I eat something too spicy I have to take 3 tabs. My go is fine about this. If you have'nt been diagnosed as having an ulcer see your gp.
well, I take lansoprazole for acid reflux (ever day, not just when I've overdone the spices). It seems to work (and the backs of my teetch aren't being dissolved as quickly). But if it isn;t working for you, tell the doctor. Yes, take painkillers in the meantime.
How long have you been taking it? My first ulcer took a couple of weeks to heal on meds and you need to be very careful about diet and medications (no aspirin, anti-inflammatories etc... unless prescribed by a doctor who knows what you are taking and the symptoms you have.

If the pain doesn't go away then get back to your GP as different meds or more tests may be needed.

Have they tested you for helicobacter pylori in case you need treatment for that?
