Kitten behavioural problems - help needed

ok so im not an idiot and i knew this was not going to be plain sailing. I have had other kittens over the years but not like this one.
thursday i had a playful good natured kitten with a few issues
yesterday afternoon kitty became satan lol

she has started stalking and biting me,, clawing at the furniture, climbing on and behind furniture and knocking ornaments off of shleves. tis was something i broke her of in her first week with us.

does anyone have any advice on why she has done a 360
how can we calm her down as she as spen 36 hours flying around the home like a looney and needs to calm down for her own sake as she will eventualy end up knocking somethig heavy over or going head first into something when im not around to catch it (she really has speed on her side)
oh and as i type this have realised she chews electrical wires - eeeek!!!

also any advice on how to teach her good and bad - the worst advice ive been given so far is time outs (10 mns to destroy a towel in the bathroom) and water bottle to spritz her with (once wet she stops getting put off by the thought of getting wet - well shes wet already right)

You haven't said how old she is, and does she go outdoors yet??
By the sound of it,she may be bored..and is simply looking for ways to amuse herself. The stalking and biting is a common 'activeity' for young cats....mine-at 2 years old-thinks bare feet are there to be bitten,but not shoes..I too would suggest the water bottle...aside from that all you can do is deny access to any area where you have tempting or fragile ornaments. Mine went thru a phase of getting on the kitchen counters everytime my back was turned...the only solution was removing him quickly-and then just keeping the door closed at all times. He SEEMS to have lost interest.....

Could be her hormones kicking in - spaying would probably help calm her down if it is.

Does she go out? It sounds as if she is indoors all the time; if this is the case she should have lots of things to climb and to chew and to generally create havoc with. If you have a utility room can you put a couple of branches with toys hanging off them; all the type of things that she wants to play with?
If she did this sort of thing outdoors you would be non the wiser and it wouldn't matter; it's only because she does normal cat behavior in your home where she can damage things that it becomes a problem.
