Swollen Foot & Ankle

I have been attending my doctor for 4 weeks now. She told be i had a prolapsed disc in my back and it had travelled to my scatica nerve. For the last 2 weeks i have had a swollen foot and ankle on the same leg. The doctor has taken blood for a clot and it has came back clear. The only answer the doctor could give me after that was it is one of those things!! Now my foot is that swollen i can hardley walk. Does anyone have a cure for this.
