Ok I know poor Stephen Gately has only just died BUT why did they have another guy back to their hotel with them? I read that he was in the bedroom with Gately's husband. Now why is it that some gay couples (think George Michael) seem to think it's ok to sleep with other people? Always baffled me.

It's a fact that gay men often lead a promiscuous lifestyle, but as with all people, there is every shade of personality and behaviour in evidence, so stereotyping should be avoided.

Because as a rule, heterosexual couples have children, they lose the 'single' lifestyle they enjoyed growing up, and when first together, but gay people never lose that...

I've seen this reported, but the family still insist there was no third party involved; so I wouldn't necessarily believe everything you hear.

why is it that some straight couples seem to think it is ok to sleep with other people? maybe it's because a percentage of the human race is promiscuous whether they are gay or straight.

Interesting to see if the family of Stephen Gately are happy to let the "husband" inherit his money as would be the case in a proper marriage

it was a proper marriage... at least as far as the law will allow. Reports state that the family loved the husband, but that's irrelevant in any case. They were legally a civil partnership; Stephen's family have no more say in the inheritance than if he was married to a woman.

Fluid on the lungs is not always a sign of congestive heart failure (congenital-as said in dot's post, means present from birth). It could be that Steven Gately vomited in his sleep and aspirated (inhaled) the vomit.
If there was a 3rd man present in the apartment why does that mean that anything sexual was going on between him and either Steven Gately or his partner? He could have just been having a drink with them for all we know.Even if it was sexual,so what?They were all consenting adults and it is nobody else's business but theirs!
