Possible subpoena and suffer bad panic attacks
2 Answers
My OH may be dragged into a court case which has nothing to do with him.....
However he suffers from really bad anxiety and panic attacks and I know there is no way he can go to a court, he cant even go out for social events.
Can his doctor give him a \'sick note\' (so to speak) to not appear, if necessary written statements etc is ok.
The case is between a landlord and his tenant, OH works for the landlord but not in the landlord/tenant area.
thanks so much.

See what the court have to say. I do know that a doctor's letter and medical sick note can be used for a reason not to appear in court and that cases can be postponed, but I don't know the implications with a long term condition. They might well accept a written statement - ask them. I presume it is a civil action.
Good luck.
