And to me: "When you getting married again...?"
FFS - I've been married twice, not even divorced from the last one yet.... why the hell would I want to do it again? Madness. It's as though a woman can't be complete or happy without a man - and vice versa.
Never would I get married again. I am married, but I value my independence. I would never wan't to be reliant on a man and could live happily on my own (not that I want to get rid of Mr LL?).
I know so many women that just can't be 'manless'. They go from one relationship to another.
Enjoy your freedom tinkerbell - you are very young yet anyway - time for lots of single fun!!!
i am single and happier than I have ever been - I am not saying I never again will be in a relationship but life for now just suits me fine. I agree with Lofty in that some people just cant be single, going from relationship to relationship and it is people like that that seem to want to know how I can survive on my own and not get lonely. I am a good bit older than you tinker and none of my close friends or family seem to think there is anything lacking in my life that I don't get any hassle from them - I hope it will be the same for you. If they see you happy the should get the message in due course!
i find the whole "back in the shop window" things quite degrading!! i hate it - i was in a 4 year relationship..that wasnt a very good one...kicked him out and am quite happy- think she forgets shes mum n not friend and obviously i dont tell her if i meet someone a few times or go for a drink but its really annoying me!!
i begin to wonder if am doing something wrong god!! leve me beee woman!! lol!!
There are various research papers which suggest that married men are the happiest, followed by single women, married women, then single men. Looks like this straw poll reflects that, although no married men other than me seem to have answered, and yes I am!
I have been married for 37 years now and although I would never wish my husband any harm I can categorically state that I would never, ever go through it again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
hate to tell you tinkerbell, it never stops. My friends keep saying to me "why don't you remarry" ?. I'm 67 for crying out loud! I've noticed it's only the married ones say this so I guess it's jealousy.
Being in the shop window is degrading an expression at any age, but when you are much , much older you know you'll have a label pinned on saying "sale price "or even worse "make me an offer." Now that is really degrading.!!!!
I don't mind my grandad asking when I'm getting married as he's of an age where he firmly believes that's what women did. I just wish that he'd remember I'm his grandaughter and stop starting his sentences with 'You're a nice bit of stuff...'
