I have a blonde aunt who's eyes are green, she got married few years back, her spouse is a brown eyed with fair skin. She now has four kids who are all red headed and blue eyed with no exceptions, they also have freckles on their skin. neither ( aunt & spouse ) are red headed nor blue eyed. is this normal?? what caused this? is it a recessive gene?

For your aunt and her spouse to have had 4 children with red hair, blue eyes and freckles, it suggests that both parents have the recessive gene.
Neither of my parents are redheads, but I am, as are my sons, but there were other redheads in the family in past generations, so I'd say that is where your relatives get it from.

What about your aunt's parents or her husband's? My son looks NOTHING like me, and has blue eyes which neither me or my husband have. His grandfathers and grandmother have blue eyes, but everyone after them has brown.
If her spouse has fair skin it sounds possible that he is from a red-haired gene pool, as lots of redheads also have blue eyes, fair skin and freckles.
What I wonder is if the genes are so recessive then what are they doing dominating ove the other ones?
