MMR Jag Twice in a week???

Hi

Took my daughter for her MMR yesterday. She got the pnemococcal one first and that was fine. When the doctor went to do the MMR in the other leg there was a bit of liquid still on her leg

He's called this morning to say there was quite a lot of the vaccine that didn't go in and we should see how she is over the next 24 hours and repeat the MMR jag tomorrow.

Has this happened to anyone?

He said its fine to do it again but if we didn't do it she might not have got enough

Why are you calling it a 'jag'? The word should be JAB.
There should be no problem repeating the jab as so much of the solution didn't get injected.

some folk call it jag other call it jab. i call it a jag. googled it and apparently its a scottish thing

Well,you learn something new every day I guess...never knew it was a Scottish thing and have never heard it referred to as a jag.

everyone i know calls it a jag. jabs a new thing to me. i just though it was a new modern version of jag!!!

i rememeber at school it was the BCG Jag. at the doctors yesterday they were shouting into the waiting room asking if anyone wanted the swine flu jag

I agree carron - it was always called a jag when I was a kid - we would never say jab up here. Although now I have gone all proper and would called it an injection ;o)

Must be 'cos it is "jaggy" - jabby sounds more blunt like pokey. jaggy sounds sharp, which it is!
