I am going to a concert by myself to see "In the flesh" a Pink Floyd type group with lazer show in a couple of weeks at the Indigo2 , within the O2 venue, I live out in the sticks and I have never been to anything like this before, let alone a city venue, so I wonder if anyone can give me an idea what I should wear, last time I went out to a "do" I was in my early 20's, now I'm 48 but very young looking and still haven't got a clue, I don't want to overdress and look like I'm on the pull, or look dowdy either, I'm female 5 ft 3 and aprox 10 stone, any ideas please ? I'd be really gratefull.

Hi Chuck, its "In the flesh Pink Floyd laser spectacular " aparently they are really good, I saw "the spirit of Pink floyd "at Bedfords corn exchange a few weeks back, and thought they were good, they had lasers too , but the Indigo2 is so much bigger and with the lazers there, Im expecting to have my socks blown off (not literally J. J. don't panic !)

funny enough C.D. you have just reminded me that I was advising my partners son only last week that he should be looking out from the inside and not being so aware of what others think of his looks . perhaps I should take my own advice sometimes ! anyway, one thing is for sure as you say, I will enjoy the evening.
The pizza thing ...

Colours are fine, generally.

But, at a gig ... if you was to look cool, but elegant ... go monotone.

I hope you have a good time :), I saw the Australian pink floyd at Wembley a few months ago and their laser show was good (and they had the giant inflatables!)

Just wear what you would at the local pub but make sure the shoes are comfy, you are going to be standing a lot!
Just the job......and only the one zip too...............

Brilliant Yogi, so this is the opposite of an M & S chicken. kinky gear for chickens, I love it, I think I'll have to down load the pic and have a transferr made for a T shirt. That's my kind of humour.
Glad you like it, barneysmummy...........you'll certainly turna few heads. :0)

Have a great time at the concert, and as JJ says, dress cool as the Indigo does get warm in there. Plenty to drink though, so happy days!

You are going to be in lots of crowds, people really arent going to notice what you look like. I;ve been to many concerts and it ranges from jeans and t-shirt to weird and wacky ballerina skirts and stripy tights.
Hi barneysmummy, because this is a really nice friendly site let me say to you that whatever you wear out there you will look gorgeous, go & have a really good time, let me just say to you what I always tell my daughter> don't leave a drink out of your sight when you go to the loo etc, be aware of the ungodly. Ron.
