Im in my late 30s and for the past few months have come out in spots over my cheeks, around my mouth and so many around my chest, i use simple wipes and moisteriser and non perfume products but these bloody spots wont go away. they are sore and are gettin me down.

i suffered bad acne in my teens and was on a course of roaccatane in my 20s, i also stopped taking diannete about a year ago.

does anyone else suffer with bad skin, if so can you recommed a good facial wash or spot treatment. been to my doctor but he only just gave me some roll on antiseptic treatment that didnt even work.

thanks guys, hope someone can help. xxxx

no serious help to you I know (I had them bad when a teen too, but only then) but if you get a spot when you're 50, it doesn't half make you feel young...
I use aqueous cream that is a good moisturiser. But if you have suddenly come up with them maybe you should see the doctor. It could be because of the pill that you stopped taking. How sore are they, are they oussy or like coldsores as me be you have impetigo and they arent just spots

aww, postdog, would love to feel that young again but not with a faceful of spots!!!!

4get, ive just googled impetigo and im 99% sure its not that, they are more like big pimples with heads on (gross, i know)! i think it has something to do with the pill, but when i was on the roaccatane the doc told me that i should be spot free forever!

its really getting me down, i have just felt a new one on my neck. im going to have to smother myself in sudocrem tonight! will try the aqueous cream tho in the morn. thanks guys xx
Yes go to the docs xx
have been on roaccutane as well although I was told it would help but not cure. Still get the occasional belter of a pluke.

Have you tried retinol A?

go to the docs
I get this whenever I stop taking the pill because the spots are caused by hormones. You might need to go back on the Dianette?
Golden rules for clear skin: eat plenty of fresh green vegetables(cabbage is excellent-(but not overcooked)
Cut your refined sugar intake drastically . Don't sqeeze spots or keep touching them,(even under nails that appear clean there are germs which will infect and inflame your spots). And take daily walks in the fresh air to boost your circulation.
