To raise a serious point for a moment, we get lambasted for any kind of racial discrimination on here, yet when it comes to age, is that different?
I am very open about how old I am, so open infact, I leave myself to be a target for disrespectful louses...LOL
I couldn't give a to$$ about my age, but is it right that they get away with being like that, is that acceptable?
Well I wanted serious so I have given you seious, for a minute anyway..LOL

Hi Bobbisox

Firstly, sorry about your loss of title!

Secondly, what the bleedin' hell you going on about? :)
Those that deride age in a nasty way are only laughing at themselves Bobbi.....if they live long enough they will be in the same age bracket themselves before they know it...
The Boot is then on the other foot so to speak....
On the other hand if it is said in gest there is not a problem.
Joy...you can't help being old...........what is the problem Granny?

No BOBBI,
You can take the micky out of anybody's age,
Whether they see the funny side of it is another matter, I am often called an old fart, that doesn't bother me one bit,
The point is, don't give it unless you can take it.

My and the Mrs was once at Harry Ramsden's having a pleasant chat with our Fish and Chips and in came a load of AOP's in a minibus.

They were bloody noisy, rude, pushed past everyone and then to top it all, they started to sing songs....!!!!

Take it from sqad........there'e are NO pluses to getting old.
Aaaww....Birthday and Chrimbo threads are great.........Sqad loves 'em too, especially birthdays!..............lol
I saw far more nastiness about age when a certain person who from Tenerife was on AB. Haven't noticed any lately, except in fun.

I would go along with that LL,
I really think people are missing my point tho'
It's not ethical to say certain people are from certain countries, but it's ok to discriminate when it comes to age, believe me, I can take it and laugh about it
Sqad, Bloomin' cheek - I was up at 6.30am. I have been out in the real world, shopping, visiting friends, running errands and generally being busy. Shortly I will start cooking our evening meal.
Please tell me...........Why do old (young) folks have to continually prove to other people that that they can still act young?............................beats me.
