Dozy twits who don't use Indicators

Why do so many drivers never use their indicators these days?
Are they making cars without them now?
Are drivers so bone idle that they can't make the effort to flick a switch?
Are they just plain thick? Perhaps they think they're saving the planet.
Or completely selfish and thoughtless?
I think I know the answer - all of these.
I'm getting fed up of sitting at a junction waiting for a car to pass me before I turn only to find they then turn off before they reach where I am. So I could have gone if the selfish ***** had signalled. Today I followed a dozy woman who just stopped in the middle of the road in front of me without warning. Eventually, she turned right into a garage. No signal used.
What is wrong with these people?

The use of indicators should be made compulsory and the failure to use them should be an endorsable offence.

indicators are an optional extra on new motors ......i think.. these seem to be the ones that don't indicate!

Maybe susie got so fed up with the people that don't indicate she decided to shoot out peoples indicators; that is why we never see people indicating!

It is a valid point about indicators etc not working. I see al lot of vehicles driving around here with front/brake/indicator lights not working. People don't notice if there are street lights on and they obviously never check before getting into the car.

If an indicator bulb has blown the indicators 'flash' at a faster rate than normal which is also noticeable inside the car. I have followed some drivers through various junctions and noticed that indicators work at some right turns and not others.

Common courtesy and good manners are free.

Very good question Susie. I've often thought the same. Why-o-why are some drivers so selfish, bone-idle & it has to be said, rubbish at driving, if they can't even flick a switch? It don't take a lot to do does it?

It does seem to be a lot of drivers with nearly new expensive cars. And there I was thinking that the manufacturers failed to install indicators now a days!!

I often ask a similar question about people who use their fog light(s) when its barely foggy & you can see well ahead in the distance. STUPID PEOPLE.........................

I couldn't agree more! Selfish cretins who don't use their indicators shouldn't be fined - they should be made to re-take their driving test again...

i got knocked off my moped by a van because driver couldnt be bothered to indicate! people who dont indicate are lazy thougtless idiots who shouldnt be allowed on the road!!!

If you get a chance when they pull up in a car park or somwhere where you are going to walk over and say "Excuse me, I don't know if you realise but your indicators don't appear to be working....."

I find it strange that the drivers who's indicators don't work have no problem with their fog lights being on all the time.

This is my pet hate it gets me so angry. Androcles has the right idea. I follow them and park alongside saying "i used to have a car like that but mine had f****** indicators you w*****.

Thanks for all your answers, glad most agree with me. Today I had a different problem, equally frustrating - I had to sit in a queue waiting to turn right into a T junction, all the cars on the main road coming from the right were turning left and indicating (for a change) so my queue could have turned right, but the car in front wouldn't move. He/she waited until all 10 cars went round the corner before moving. Now I must admit, my husband would have done the same, as he says sometimes people indicate in error, but I haven't got his patience (wish I did have) and it seemed rather paranoid to assume they'd alll indicated in error. You could see them slow down and turn the indicators on so it's unlikely they'd done so by mistake.
