i realise it was probably a good place physically, but given that it leaves a scar and i assume they knew that, why woulnt they opt to put it somewhere less visible?

is there a reason it had to be there?

Im not bothered about the scar, but i have seen some large and ugly ones on people.

cheers

Given how painful it is, would you rather have had it on your bum? I think it has to be an area with a lot of flesh - they usually do jags either on the arm or the ar**.
Its a muscle they inject into, a good one at the top of the arm. BTW I've never heard of anyone getting a scar from a TB jab.
Many years ago the 'Smallpox' vacination left a scar as big as a £ coin, my old mum had 4.

Aunty Jem.
BCG vaccination is given intradermally (into the skin) and almost always into the arm because of comfort to the patient as it almost always blisters. Sitting all day on a blister would not be my idea of paradise ;-)
I've got a scar from my TB jab.

jemisa...everyone has a scar from the TB jab!

some are small and not so noticable, others more visible - but eveyone has a scar on the upper arm

have you had the jab?? you must be thinking of some other type of injection if you think tere is no scar left!

actually i was more referring to a place less visible - where a scar would be less noticable - such as the inner arm, inner thigh, even the calf muscle perhaps??
