I wonder how many residents in less exclusive accommodation, could only dream of the prompt action this elderly Notting Hill resident received, to her complaint regarding her neighbour's loud music?

You might be surprised.London Boroughs maintain Noise Patrols at night for this very purpose and, obviously, they respond while the nuisance is continuing, to hear for themselves if they can.Their work takes them to poor areas just as much as rich ones and summonses are issued just as much there

Do they have Noise Patrols in South Bedfordshire for ignorant parents who buy the 'biggest' trampolines for their dear little brats to jump up & down on & continuously scream & shout at the top of their voices?

Not very nice when you fancy a few peaceful hours in your 'own' back garden!

Know what you mean, when I see advertised the latest garden play equipment, slides, trampolines, swings, massive pools, football goal nets, etc.

It makes me wonder are these kids parents, competing who can provide their area with the best mini theme park.

Oh, forgot to mention smudge, you can always take your favourite garden seat to your local park, I think you will most likely find it is deserted.

Most councils deal with noise abatement issues in just the same way. It has taken 8 months to get to court, which he could have avoided by preventing the noise after the first visit.

Things seem to have changed since the 70's.........we had the biggest garden in our street so we put in swings, a seesaw, a slide and a sandpit so all the children had somewhere safe to play off the street.........all the neighbouring parents were very grateful.

For just two nights' worth of loud music? The old dear should live in some of the neighbourhoods I've lived in. You're lucky to get a couple of nights' quiet in some of them.

Good idea AOG! I've even thought of putting a garden bench in the front garden, so we can sit & read in peace!

It wouldn't matter what size gardens we had here craft - our wonderful neighbours have placed this monstrosity just a foot away from 'our' 6 foot fence & near to our patio doors! They could have put it in several other places, but obviously want it on show!

I agree 100% aog, the rest of us have to contend with drug dealers, shooting and stabbings and all kinds of anti-social behavior on a daily basis!
My top tip to everyone is do good in school/college/university, get a good job, move to a rich area and have justice served!

Then wait till your neighbour comes round to ask for his kid back.
