I was at the doctors this morning and she commented on this being in my records.

Don't think it's any kind of problem but just curious as to what it is and any effects it might have been causing (to rule out from other ongoing stuff).

I googled but didn't really understand a lotof the technical stuff.

I remember having jaundice when I was a baby, could this be why?

Thanks you :)

Thank you sqad :)
Jenna - I have Gilberts Syndrome - mine was diagnosed when I was 16 - it is an inherited condition - my Dad also has it. If you ever have a liver function blood test, the billirubin count will be quite high - mine is usually around 48 as opposed to being 0-26 in a normal person.

The whites of your eyes can sometimes appear yellow - I notice this if I have been poorly or have not eaten .
Hiya Jenna and Sqad

Hey Den,

I got GS too, but only 31, so slightly high Billirubin......cant notice anything at all normally.... maybe slightly yellowish around the white parts of the eyses, if really ill though.........always shows up in my blood test results.......not a big deal at all.....:0)
Afternoon Yogi - I have noticed that as I have got older my eyes stay white longer now - not sure why. The only plus side is, I tan quite easily. I was also told that taking paracetemol or barbituates can affect the condtion.
Hi again Den x

Thats good, maybe it's not affecting you as much as you get more "mature" and lovely with age......you ladies are like a vintage wine.......not older.....just classier and well preserved

I tan really quickly too.....cant say i've ever seen my white parts of eyes really yellow though.

Do taking the paracetemol or barbituates make the condition ease, i wonder?

Hope you're well, sweetheart and really good to see you on here.

Take care

Lots of love

Hello :) Ahhhh wish I tanned easily! I had a vitamin D deficiency so probably could do with it though :)

I've a proper pale little thing me, always have been. I find it strange looking at pictures of me and my "little" brother as he has such a ruddy completion and quite deep lines on his forehead whereas I look a lot younger than my age and am very pale, very strange!
I bet you look lovely, Jenna,.....bit like a fresh pint of milk..........refreshing and full of goodness :0) , so dont be too harsh on yourself, my lovely.

Dont worry about GS as no worries....ok?

Take care

Love the bear xx

I shall not worry myself :) You take care too xxx
