yesterday, about 5.30 and just before we closed at 6pm, I spotted 2 girls messing about with some small itens of stock and I asked them if they were ok, then noticed through a semi-transparent clairs accessories bag the girl kneeeling infront of a fixture had, an item we sell, i went over to her and from where i srood i could see the item quite clearly, so i asked her if she had just bought that, she panicked and put it and another similar item back on the shelf. Then her mate starts starts chattering away really oddly, then i noticed they both had small carrier bags that were full to bursting with something. I asked them if they would mind emptying the bags and they did, there must have been at least 100 small items from clairs accessories in those bags, including 3 purses. several dozen pairs of earings, all new on their display cards, necklaces, hair clips. they then start saying that claires had a but 10 items or 3 pounds lucky bag offer on. i asked them how much they had spent and they said £3 each. As I was the manager in charge it was up to me what i did.
I waloked away, rang the park loss prevention on the walkie talkie and waited. the girls just stood there and started trying to cry, blaming one another, ringing their dad to say i had told them they couldn;t leave blah blah blah,
the security guy came and he was disgusted at their language, they were both dressed like tarts, and it turned out one was 11 and one was 12.
They were told to leave and that the open invitation for them to shop in the store had been withdrawn.
Well, what would you have done?

I think you should be ashamed of yourself as a grown woman treating kids like that -you had no right and you shouls have called the Police.
Not content with regaling us with what happened in great detail they also were given a character assasination by you -just who do you think you are Dot?
At this i'll leave the thread as for once after my initial knee jerk reaction I am now shaking my head in disbelief at your arrogance.
