Itching ears (Exzema)

For a number of years I have suffered with this complaint, My method of treatment has been "Plantago"which is an herbal remedy. Unfortunately the effect of the Plantago as diminished. Is there anyone out there with another remedy?

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.i've had itchy ears for a while now, probably since menopause, and i use a tiny little dab of cortisone cream on a cotton bud swizzled round my ear. does the trick for a couple of weeks. i've had this tube of cream since the dark ages but it still seems to be effective. maybe a moisturiser would work, E45 perhaps?

Itching ears is a symptom and not a diagnosis and hence needs the appropriate treatment that a diagnosis would offer.
It could be eczema, bacterial, or even a fungus infection.
An accurate diagnosis needs the expertise of a Consultant ENT surgeon before any treatment could be contemplated.
