i'd never heard of it before, did a quick google and found this http://www.paxcredo.net/pilo1.html

i'm guessing if there's some kind of wound healing issue then maybe something along the lines of manuka honey could help.  Manuka honey is so good and killing bacteria it can kill off mrsa.

Maybe different chairs that reduce pressure in that area, http://www.backinaction.co.uk

sell some chairs that might be suitable.  Hope you find some relief.

I really feel for you.My daughter had this in the summer and was in agony! She felt better when the nurse used a seaweed dressing because of the iodine in it,have you been given this milly?

Thanks Fina. I had never heard of it before I got it but it seems to be quite a commen problem. Luckily I have only had the need for packing twice, the other 3 operations resulted in me having stiches. Unfortunately the wound at the time was so deep that the nurses could only use certain types of packing. As it is now just the scarring that it causing the problem I am due to have a skin graft (sp) in the new year. Im a bit apprehensive about it and was hoping there may be some other avenues open but if it has to be done, it has to be done.
